Installation
A minimum head of 6ft./1830.0 mm. (FOR VALVE ONLY), (10ft. 3048.0 mm. if flow control valve No VV406 or VV405 is fitted with Improved Victory valve), of 1 ¼ in. 31.75 mm. pipe is required between the storage tank and the Improved Victory valve. Wherever possible, we recommend that the storage tank be fitted above the minimum height specified.
A rate of flow of between 20 and 25 gallons 90.9 litres and 113.65 litres per minute is required to flush a water closet. Piping must therefore be sized to permit this rate of flow.
On receipt of drawings or sketches of proposed Improved Victory valve installations, we shall be pleased to indicate suitable tank capacities, pipe sizes etc. Please state heights, lengths and positions of pipe runs and indicate positions of supply tanks.
WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND OUR CUSTOMERS TO AVAIL THEMSELVES OF THIS SERVICE ESPECIALLY WHERE MULTIPLE INSTALLATIONS ARE INVOLVED.
Improved Victory flush valves can be supplied to pass ½, ¾, 1, 1½, 2, 2½, or 3 gallons (2.27, 3.44, 4.5, 6.8, 9, 11 & 14 litres) of water. They cannot be adjusted after leaving the factory. Two gallon (9 litre) valves will be supplied against all orders on which gallonage has not been specified. If required, ancillary items such as flush pipes, connecting nuts and angle control valves should be ordered separately. Contact us for details.
All improved Victory flush valves are tested before leaving our works and will operate on any pressure from 3 pounds to 60 pounds (0.21 Bars to 4.1 Bars).
NOTE FOR EXAMPLES (left):
If distance from floor to centre of pan inlet is greater than 13¼" (336.55mm) adjustment may be made by cutting a piece off the flush pipe.
